Orme’s 48th Annual Fine Arts Festival culminated on Saturday with Grandparents Day. It was a day of celebration for the creativity our students discovered in themselves during the Festival week. All students signed up to participate in a workshop of their choice, and to work directly with visiting guest artists. Workshops included Glassblowing, Jewelry Design, Stained Glass, West African Drumming, Fine Arts Photography, Ceramics, Watercolor, 21st Century Identity & Fashion Design, Textile Construction, and Large Scale Sculpture. Students displayed their finished art pieces in the School’s Art Gallery. There were also performances in Drumming and Drama, and a Festival Fashion Show. A special thanks to Festival Coordinator Terrence Shrader for another wonderful and exciting week.
