Life at Orme provides positive and healthy choices within a framework and philosophy proven successful since 1929. Dorm life offers a comfortable respite, time for hanging out with friends, catching up on homework, listening to music, and learning each day how to take responsibility into one’s own hands. Students learn this responsibility through community involvement, leadership, the generous support and wisdom of faculty and staff, cultural diversity, accountability, and pitching in to help others. Adventure and fun abound right outside your own dorm room, from Friday night frisbee games to star-gazing on nearby mesas. Dorm living—the good times, the chore times, the roommate relationship time—will teach you greater independence. Our programs and structure provide a balanced respect for self and others while developing each student’s mind, body and character.
