This fall, several Orme students became certified by the American Miniature Therapy Horse Association. Led by faculty and staff members Sylvia Strobel and Dave Bradford, students Sheila June, Eco Martinson, Peyton Calmes, Madyson Whitney and Josie Avery (along with several miniature horses, of course) traveled to Cottonwood, Arizona to visit with senior citizens at the Country Care Assisted Living Center. The seniors they met with were delighted to have such a unique and fun opportunity.
Question: Can the miniature horses be house-broken. They look like they would make great pets
It is hard to completely train a miniature horse, however with enough time spent together, you can learn the behavior of them. You then gain the ability to sense when your horse is about to go! Hope this helped!!
