The fall harvest season is in full swing. Orme’s garden and orchard have grown substantially over the last several months. Students in Sustainability classes during the day, and after school Gardening Activity are bringing in a bounty of food for Founders dining hall.
Students are harvesting Goliath and cherry tomatoes, colorful peppers, zucchini, Big Jim chiles, butternut squash, onions, potatoes, herbs, pears, plums, figs, zucchini and more!
Students in Orme’s new Culinary Class, taught by chef Patti Marrs and the Founders Hall kitchen staff, turn this bounty into delicious meals shared by the entire School community.
It is very interesting.
