Students in Kelly Bull’s Environmental Science class took an educational field trip down to the Arizona State Capital in Phoenix. Orme’s students were able to meet Senator Karen Fann (Republican member of the Arizona Senate representing Arizona Legislative District 1) and ask her questions.
Eleventh grade student Asher even had an opportunity to challenge one Representative about his stance on a bill. Another Orme junior, Andrew, is in the process of arranging for Democratic State Senator Juan Mendez (who represents District 26) to visit the Orme campus and speak with students in Kelly Bull’s classes.
The Orme School also got a nice shout out from the Senate floor as the group watched from up in the gallery.
