MICHELE SHARES HOW THIS CHOICE TURNED OUT TO BE THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT SHE COULD HAVE BESTOWED UPON HER DAUGHTER.What initially attracted you to The Orme School and motivated you to choose it as the educational institution for your child? Our daughter was not connecting to the massive public school she initially wasattending and requested a more intimate edu-cational adventure that would allow her to be around other like-minded students. She asked for a college preparatory school, to which we toured several and Orme was an automatic yes once we visited. The fact its close enough to our home that she can visit on weekends, the library caught her attention and the gym were two of her favorite spots she could envision hanging out with other students. The fact the curriculum allows her to take AP classes, the diversity among students and the caravan with a familial culture are all A+s for her needs and wants. How would you describe the overall atmo-sphere and sense of community at Orme School? It is a very close community where the students get to know each other very well. The rigorous schedule is enough to which our student would not have had the opportunity or motivation to experience the various events that take place at Orme had she been in a sea of thousands of students in a public school. The atmosphere at Orme, while small, allowswith less students gives more time to focus on academics personal growth in a way that is encouraging to her. & socializing in a meaningful manner compared to a larger school and the drama that tends to be distracting.
