Over the course of a few weeks, campers from across the country and around the world came to experience the threeWWW.ORMESCHOOL.ORG distinct programs Orme offered. HORSEMANSHIPFOUNDED INOrme Horsemanship Camp welcomed riders of all abilities for a unique and1 9 2 9exciting experience Up Top with the horses. Campers enjoyed learning about the care and keeping of a horse, developed their riding skills, and competed in local barrel racing competitions. When they werent riding, campers spent time in the pool, camping Up Top under the stars and roasting marshmallows on a campfire.Off campus trips included expeditions to Fossil Creek (where many brave campers jumped off the waterfall!) and Sedonas Slide Rock StateLOCATED INPark.MAYER, AZLEADERS IN TRAINING CAMPThe second year of Ormes Leaders in Training program proved to be very suc- LEADERS IN TRAININGcessful. Each day campers, consisting of student Prefect applicants and newJUNE 21-27, 2020school applicants, worked on developing their skills in the areas of Excellence, Tradition, and Character, which are the foundations of The Orme Way! Along with developing leadership skills and self-reflecting, campers also were given the opportunity to engage in some traditional camp elements like horseback riding, hiking, and swimming. Campers enjoyed an off campus trip to a ropes course at Flagstaff Extreme. During theCARAVAN ADVENTUREfirst week, they visited iconic places such as Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, Antelope Canyon and Bryce Canyon.JUNE 28 - JULY 5, 2020During week two, the group canoed down a portion of the majestic Green River that winds through Canyonlands National Park.
