Leaders in Training:
Horsemanship Camp

2022 Dates TBD

Arizona is the embodiment of the Old West. Surrounded by one of the oldest cattle ranches in the state, The Orme School is home to one of the longest-running, historic western horsemanship camps. This year, riders will focus on developing their riding skills in this western-based camp. More experienced riders are encouraged to bring their own horses. They will focus on western heritage events including barrel racing, roping, working cattle, and ranching operations. Advanced riders will attend at least one off-campus event. Beginner level riders will be using school horses, and will focus on basic horsemanship skills including brushing and saddling, general care and maintenance, and beginning riding. Non-horse related activities will include swimming, hiking, movies and more.

NOTE: Those applying as an advanced rider should furnish at least one reference from their current horsemanship instructor.
