Orme Mathletes are having a great fall season

The Orme Mathletes Team, coached by faculty member Alex deBeus, has competed several times this fall, and have been very successful in those Math League competitions. Their first competition was at Centennial High School in Peoria with seven other schools. Dat won 2nd Place in the 11th Grade Division, and Rachel 2nd Place in the 9th Grade Division. In addition, Rena and Selena qualified for the State Championships.

In their second competition this fall, team members once again did quite well:

Ngoc – 1st Place 12th Grade Division
Quan – 2nd Place, 12th Grade Division
Peter – 2nd Place, 11th Grade Division
Rachel – 3rd Place, 9th Grade Division

Overall, The Orme School won 2nd Place in that second meet, with five new Orme qualifiers for State (Ngoc, Quan, Peter, Nguyen and Mia). Orme now has NINE Mathletes who have qualified to move on to the State Championships.

The Orme Mathletes Team will compete next on December 7 at Mission Heights Preparatory High School in Casa Grande. Good luck Warriors!
