Latest News From Orme
We appreciate the patience of our parents, students, prospective families, and alumni during this time of unprecedented fluidity and heightened anxiety. Our COVID Rapid Response Team is working daily to ensure that we offer the safest environment possible for all of our students and faculty. We’re fortunate at Orme to be miles away from any city or town. We have weekly on-site testing and are wrapping up a wonderful first semester here on campus.
The Orme School is open and teaching our students both in person and virtually. We are still accepting applications for second semester, which will begin on Jan 16, 2021. Classes will start on Monday, January 18, 2021.
- In accordance with CDC and public health guidelines, students will be expected to follow three basic principles that our faculty and staff have already implemented: Practice physical distancing; wear masks; and practice frequent and thorough hand sanitizing and washing.
- Online classes will continue to be offered for students who are unable to get to campus due to international travel and Visa restrictions, and to make certain that no student misses any coursework as we integrate each group of students on to campus.
We will continue working tirelessly to identify and determine all viable paths forward as we plan for a safe re-opening of the second semester. Like you, we want nothing more than to safely resume your child’s education here at Orme. While some of our operations will look and feel different, providing children with the safe, exceptional education that Orme has been known for since 1929 remains our number one priority.
Prospective students, please reach out to Director of Admissions Jessica Calmes regarding enrollment. Returning students, please reach out to Dean of Students Eden Sears about travel plans or campus-related issues.
Thank you for your trust, patience and continued support.
