The Regeneration show was developed by Chequamegon Orme and featured artists inspired by the geology, mythology, ideology, history and modern lifestyle of southwestern landscapes, and was held in the Lecture Hall building. Students were able to choose from a variety of subjects including many traditional favorites such as Glass Blowing with Ramson Lomatewama and African Drumming with Three Trees, while some interesting new courses such as Fashion Design with Chequamegon Orme and Large Scale Sculpture with Bobby Zokaites were introduced. Filming of the festival also began in preparation of the 50th anniversary which will happen in 2018. The week’s activities came to a close on Grandparent’s Day on February 13th where students had a chance to exhibit their works and perform for their families and special guests who joined us on campus that day. We would like to mention a special thanks to Chequamegon Orme for all of her dedicated work in organizing this festival!
