I never tire of seeing the thrilled and often relieved faces of seniors when they share their good news with me! Everything they have worked for throughout high school is coming to fruition and they eagerly await the next chapter of their lives. Orme graduates move on with confidence as Orme has prepared them well to tackle the rigors of college life. First semester is always a bustling time as the seniors finalize their college lists, add the finishing touches to their college application essays, re-take the SAT or ACT and complete their applications. Students had the opportunity to attend the NACAC regional college fair in Phoenix this past fall and a number of admission representatives from various colleges visited Orme’s campus throughout the year to speak with interested students. On- campus ACT and SAT prep has been taking place this year to further prepare our students in navigating these college entrance exams. Just last week the juniors had an official visit to Northern Arizona University, giving them a wonderful first -hand experience of a college campus. In spite of a small graduating class this year, we have students continuing to matriculate all over the country and world. In keeping with the spirit of finding the best fit, our students apply to and attend colleges of all sizes and types. Students in the class of 2016 have been accepted to colleges such as Indiana University; Miami University (OH); University of California, Irvine; Carleton College; University of Oregon; Seattle University; Hawaii Pacific University; Colorado State University; University of California, Santa Cruz; and all three major universities in Arizona. Johanna Hendrikse is the Director of College Guidance and School Counselor.
