Orme’s very active Sustainability Club hosted a well-attended weekend workshop for other students.
The group helped participants make scented holiday goat milk soaps. Soap pieces were melted and various colors, peppermint candy pieces and fragrant essential oils were added before the cakes of soap were reformed. In addition, those in the workshop learned how to make lip balm using beeswax and orange essential oil.
The Sustainability Club plans to sell their wonderful smelling creations in Founders Hall to those looking for a special and unique holiday gift for someone, or who would just like to try the handmade soap and lip balm themselves.
