Headed by faculty coach Tim Coughlan, 13 students represented The Orme School at the January 14th Academic Quiz Bowl. The event was held at Arizona State University. The Orme team, founded just this past fall, was eager to take on its first meet. Nearly 20 teams from the Greater Phoenix area competed that day, many of them seasoned veteran players.
Orme’s team of Jenna Burkhead, Natalia Arce-Woods, Haley Giang, Yabi Gebrehiwot and Kallie Belayneh took 4th Place in the Novice Division. Our academic Warriors learned a lot in their first ever meet, and had fun taking on the challenge.
