The Orme School partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters

This fall, Orme teamed up with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Mayer, Arizona. Eight Orme students made the decision and commitment to volunteer with BBBS and provide this valuable community service and outreach to others.

BBBS - 1On Saturday, January 31 we had our first Big Brothers Big Sisters Meeting.  Eight ‘Bigs’ from Orme (Julee, Jakoby, Arely, Juan, Lera, Eric, Cheyenne and David) met 3 ‘Littles’ that day and did team building exercises together. Everyone had fun.

On Saturday, February 14th, the Bigs and Littles will meet once again.  Four more Littles will be joining the group that day. Some of the activities our Littles would like to do with their Bigs are horseback riding, bowling, playing volleyball and basketball, and taking a trip to the zoo or to play golf.

While this is The Orme School’s first year partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the program is already gaining great momentum and enthusiasm here on campus.  We are all very proud of our Orme Bigs!
