Orme’s very special 2016 Adventure Caravan Camp was a smashing success this year. Campers traveled to California to enjoy camping by the ocean at Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach. Time was spent exploring the beach, coastal trails and tidal pools. Campers embarked on back country hikes to observe the surrounding wildlife, and worked with State Park officials in the oceanic study of local fish populations and the effects of rising water temperatures on local wildlife.
During ‘down time,’ campers had an opportunity to learn how to surf (taught by an Orme Summer Camp alumnus, who has traveled and surfed the world). Participants in this 7-day Caravan Adventure Camp also visited local theme parks and attractions such as Sea World.
